About Me

Hi I’m Swati (pronounced “Swathee”). I am a career and leadership coach, and an expert on social justice and public sector career paths. 

My focus in my career has always been on finding work that contributes to the greater good - for me this has led to an extensive career in higher education leadership, career advising, professional development, pro bono management, and public interest law. 

I began my career as a public interest housing lawyer, and while there I took on running our internship and pro bono programs.  I realized early on that my real strengths were my people and program management skills, my empathy and listening skills, and my commitment to helping others.  

This led me to work in higher education, where as the Assistant Dean for Public Service and Pro Bono Initiatives at New York Law School, I have helped thousands of individuals get clear on their career goals by coaching them through major life decisions.

I became a private career coach to broaden my impact and continue working  with mission-driven professionals and lawyers who want to find more joy, ease, and meaning in their careers, while also finding a balance with their interests and goals in their personal lives. I find a lot of fulfillment in mentoring and coaching others.
 
I live with my family in Brooklyn, and love exploring the city, prioritizing time in nature, hiking, yoga, cooking, knitting, and cultivating my many indoor plants.
